The mangroves are covering the nature area so that we don't disturb the animals

  • Las Coloradas ("the pink salt lake"): We drive with the ATV all the way to Las Coloradas. This is a private area for salt production, the color depends on weather conditions (sun intensity, rainy days before, season etc.). The water can be from soft rose to strong pink and we take amazing pictures from you in front
  • Swimming on a white, sandy beach: The beaches of EL CUYO are pure nature - you will not find any beach clubs or restaurants, no sunbeds or umbrellas. You just lay down in the warm sand, go for a walk, look for some nice shells to take pictures of or just enjoy the warm water of the Caribbean. In one direction Miami, in front of us Cuba and to the right is the island of Holbox. Here you will feel a little bit like Robinson Crusoe...

  • We start our day early to have enough time to enjoy this stunning little island with its beauty and nature by the Gulf of Mexico. El Cuyo, north of Holbox and north-west of Cancun in the stat of Yucatan has about 1750 inhabitants, most of them fisherman. The smallest part of the island is about 90 m wide and still originally. Lots of colorful painted houses, a tiny church in the middle of the town and just a very few, small restaurants. But lots of nature and endless white, sandy beaches. Here the Gulf of Mexico shows you it's most beautiful colors.
  • We drive the ATV about 37 km to the area of "Las Coloradas" and 37 km also back. We rapidly leave the town of El Cuyo behind and immediately we find ourselves in the wide nature of the island. Sandy ways, on the left side mangroves and the lagoon and to our right the turquoise sea. We pass by a little colorful cemetery, happy for all people who found their last rest and paradise on earth here
  • We pass by white sandy dunes, different kinds of palm trees and the beautiful ocean. The wind in our hair and the sun on our skin gives you an infinite feeling of freedom
  • We stop on different places to watch animals and to take beautiful pictures
  • Our tour leads us until the pink salty lake of Las Coloradas where we take a break for taking pictures of you
  • On our way back we make a stopover by a white sandy, natural beach. Enjoy a walk to find some shells or just jump into the turquoise water of the Gulf of Mexico
